The new owner of “Bunny” recently contacted us; a lovely 12′ motor launch believed built in 1953. Below is a photo of her in 2019, with a Rampart’s plate, yet she does not appear on the current builder’s list.
Many smaller Ramparts were built in the 1950’s, including lifeboats for the Red Funnel Line. The Council of Industrial Design held a photo of a typical Rampart launch (possibly being helmed by Horace Desty?) and which looks very similar. Click the link to view.
